Sport car automakers have ascended the auto industry’s ladder to become some of the most popular and consumer friendly in the whole world.

The bias ply racing tires of the 1960s-1980s lent themselves to driving styles with a high slip angle. As professional racers in Japan drove this way, so did the street racers.

Drifting. It's the opposite of the traditional racing and what cars are actually designed for. But it offers great thrills and oh joy of joys when you successfully connect two or more consecutive drifts ! Drifting has become more and more popular and many fans want to try it on their own.

Here are the best cars for drifting !

Subaru BRZ

Ready out of the box ! Plenty of room to work with!

This might the slowest drift car we review but it is ready made out of the box. It is very balanced and at higher speeds, while the rear tyres are slippering, they still provide good forward traction, which gives you more precise control of where the car is going. This makes it possible for the car to acheive fast drifts with it. Also if you are not a fan of engine swaps and mods, you can change the rear tyres for weaker and still make a decent performance out of it. If you want however, the car provides enough opportunities to go hardcore!
